Jamaican singing sensation Tessanne Chin is all the rave now with her spectacular performances on the NBC hit show the VOICE but long before Tessanne got all four judges to turn around for her rendition of Pink’s “Try” , drummer Paul Kastick, who co-produced powerful tracks for her like “Who,” “Fall” and her mega hit “Hideaway,” knew she was a special talent. He also co-producer her debut album In Between Words.

Paul, who now has his own production company Groove Galore has traveled the world as a drummer with then Jamaica’s top backing band 809 in 1989. As drummer, music director and producer he has also toured with Maxi Priest, Ky-Mani Marley, Sean Paul, Big Mountain, Diana King, Shaggy, Shabba, Beenie Man, Beres Hammond, Buju Banton, Rita Marley and others.

Besides tessane, his production credit includes all of six Big Mountain’s CDs. He has also produced songs for Shaggy (Leave it to Me that was on the Hotshot CD); Steel Pulse (VEX and Back To My Roots); Benji Myazz (Intimate Relationship); Terry linen (Your Love is my Love); KipRich (Leggo Di Boy) and Italee.

He is currently in studios with Big Mountain producing tracks for their forthcoming disc plus he is producing a new disc for Soul/Reggae/Alternative singer Farajii.
